Malvasia delle Lipari is a natural vino passito <\/em>(wine made from partially raisined grapes) born of the tradition and winemaking skills on Salina, one of the Aeolian Islands.<\/p>

The island\u2019s sunshine plays a fundamental role in its production and the wine seems to absorb that heat as well as flavours of broom flowers and honey.<\/p>

The volcanic landscape where the vines are planted gives the wines a clean freshness that balances its sweet honey-and-vanilla flavour beautifully.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Vinification:<\/strong> the very healthy grapes are partially dried in the sun immediately after picking, hung on cannizzi,<\/em> traditional cane trellises. Then they have a brief maceration at low temperatures to maximise extraction of the exotic aromas of the Malvasia grapes. The fermentation is at low temperatures. These highly prized grapes yield only 40% of their original juice!<\/p>

Ageing:<\/strong> in stainless steel tanks for at least 8 months and then in bottle for at least 1 year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
