The grapes, picked by hand in Agrigento province, give a nectar with the delicate perfume of exotic fruits and citrus, and a gentle and persistent flavour.
Try it with fish or white meat: it’s a perfect match!
IN THE VINEYARD
Vineyards near Santa Margherita Belice (Agrigento) at around 350 m (1148 feet) above sea level on clay soils.
The grapes are picked by hand in early September.
IN THE WINERY
Vinification: a brief cold maceration, soft pressing and controlled-temperature fermentation.
Ageing: in stainless steel tanks for at least 4 months.
Sciare di Est Grillo, with its brilliant straw-yellow colour, releases intense scents of citrus, white peach and exotic fruits. It is dry but soft and its savoury character makes it a delicious partner for fish and white meat dishes.
